10 Restaurants You Must Try in Orlando | Florida

Orlando, also known as “The City Beautiful and Theme Park Capital” has endless options to entertain and delight. While you will find big well known corporate chains and bright lights everywhere in the city, there is also a lot of incredible, local, intimate spots that truly amaze with cuisine and ambiance. If your travels bring you through here, here are the top 10 places for great food and cocktails and my favourite spots that you can not miss on your journey through Orlando Florida.

Easily one of my favourite spots for incredible cuisine and creative cocktails. This speak easy themed spot has no outdoor signs, simply a non-descript elevator door that opens into a small swanky spot that packs in flavour. The menu updates regularly and the drinks are strong and truly capable of healing whatever ales you.

Ramen style cuisine that I have found myself comparing every other Ramen dish to in my travels. The menu is just the right size of options and flavor combinations. The food comes out freshly prepared the most tender pork belly delicately adorning the top of the variety I have tried. Domu is always busy. The bar serves up delicious hand-crafted cocktails and appetizers while you wait.

Eclectic art, a whimsical décor and delicious food and cocktails, what more could you want? Every dish prepared here is well layered with flavor and beautifully presented. I also have really come to love tapas style dining, everyone in your dining party sharing a variety of plates makes for more to enjoy! The menu updates regularly based on seasonal fresh offerings.

Local and organic set in a posh spot nestled in downtown Orlando. The Rusty Spoon is one of my go to favorite spots for lunch or dinner. Each dish is truly amazing in both taste and presentation. I love that each time I visit, the menu is refreshed with new selections based on what is seasonal and locally availably. The Rusty Spoon is a great spot to start your evening out in downtown Orlando.

Southern flavours in a rustic cozy atmosphere inside the Ritz Carlton. I love Southern comfort food and well-crafted cocktails. Highball and Harvest consistently delivers in both creative plays on classic dishes and complex cocktails with a menu that updates regularly. Much of the produce and herbs used in both their food and beverages is grown on a small farm on property which makes for fresh incredible flavours. Recently voted into Forbes 50 Best Southern Restaurants list for 2018, Highball and Harvest has joined the ranks of other amazing restaurants representing Southern Cuisine.

One of the most beautiful settings on Lake Nona, dinner at sunset here is one of my favourites in all Orlando. The restaurant ambiance is inviting, and the food is absolutely incredible and the cocktails are well crafted and refreshing. Canvas offers a variety of cuisine styles, but truly excels in plates that host Florida local seafood and Latin inspired dishes. The market offers fun finds that are perfect for gifts and an easy way to spend time waiting for your table.

Classic American cuisine celebrating Florida local food is a winning combination for me! Ravenous Pig offers a comfortable environment with a variety of dishes that are creatively constructed and packed with flavor. The cocktail menu is fun and creative as well with unique beverages. The Ravenous Pig is another great location for a group to gather and just enjoy each other’s company around great food. If in your travels you can not make to the Winter Park community, the Ravenous Pig has a sister location called Polite Pig in Disney Springs in the Disney World Resort.

For those of you traveling to Orlando and specifically bound to the tourist areas of the city, there are still great finds close to the theme parks. The remaining suggestions for where to find great cocktails and cuisine even around the theme parks. One of the most fun restaurants I have been to! Café Tu Tu Tango is inspired by the community lofts in Europe where artists come together to create and fellowship. All of the plates are tapas sized and meant to be shared with everyone in your dining party. During your dining experience, there will be artists working. There may be a sculptor, a painter, I’ve even seen belly dancers and tarot readings! There is art by local artisans for sale around the entire restaurant. The food is fun and delicious and the cocktails are creative. Café Tu Tu Tango also has one of the best brunch options on Saturday and Sunday morning, I love the build your own mimosa or bloody mary bar!

Location: 8625 International Dr. Orlando FL 32819

Disney Springs is truly a great destination when there are several different pallets or budgets in your dining party. One of my new favorites at Disney Springs is Enzo’s Hideaway, a speakeasy themed restaurant and bar with great flavored Italian inspired dishes and an impressive bar and cocktail menu. The flavors are bold in both the food and beverages, and the atmosphere is fun and a nice break from the crowds above. I highly recommend setting a reservation, as Disney Springs can book up fast, and there can often be a two hour wait for dinner. If you need to grab a quick bite, Pizza Ponte above Enzo’s Hideaway has delicious pizza by the slice.

Location: 1560 East Lake Buena Vista Dr. Lake Buena Vista FL 32830

Pointe Orlando also has a variety of options for restaurants, bars and entertainment. One of my favourite restaurants at Pointe Orlando is the charming and quaint Itta Bena. Live music nightly and delicious food and cocktails with an impressive Whiskey collection, makes for a wonderful evening out. Itta Bena offers a variety of dishes, but specializes in hearty Southern Cuisine. Itta Bena would be a great stop before a movie or some great dancing with a live band at B.B. Kings.
