Barrels of Beer @ District 6
So finally I made to this part of town but to visit another restaurant but to my bad luck it was closed. So all my plans (which included visions of what I would order!) were crushed and that’s when I realized there was a place I have never tried before and a little cajoling from my hubby brought me here.

Though I have seen this place on the way to Orion Mall and always wanted to visit, the crowd spilling from here put me off but on a fine Tuesday afternoon this brewery turned out to be a nice peaceful get away.

Located in the same premises of Sheraton, I would say the location was great and the place is huge! I understand from the staff they can seat close to 260 ppl and that is a lot for such a prime location. The ambience is very pub-like the ones you find in some typical joints in Germany, very rusty yet with the wooden decor gives a nice stay-here-for-long feel. The brew tanks are visible and quite proudly make up part of the decor and brewery touch.

Once settled in we had a taste of the brews available and for some reason I was more in the mood for a cocktail and settled for the Espresso Martini and a Watermelon Mojito for the hubby. Both drinks were well prepared and if you are coffee lover then the Espresso Martini is a must try!
For starters we tried the Sriracha Prawns, Korean Beef Tenderloin and Chilli Butter Garlic Prawns. We love our starters and as usual the order for 2 would seems a bit overboard. The Sriracha prawns were absolutely yummy (for loss of a better word!). The dip provided with it made it even tastier.

The Beef Tenderloin was a bit under done hence do put in a word for it to be well done while ordering. Nevertheless the beef did taste good and the portions are good for 3 persons.

Since we really enjoyed the Sriracha Prawns, we went for another prawn starters – Chilli Butter Garlic Prawns which turned out to be very different from what we expected. This was more of a indian version of prawns with chopped onions, garlic and green chillies tossed in butter.

After all the starters, we decided to order for one main course which turned out to be Fish and Chips. I must mention a very nice point to note is their portions for all dishes are definitely quite generous and we both enjoyed the well prepared fish and chips.

The service was impeccable with the staff being extremely attentive and happy to answer all my questions!
If I am not mistaken, this is probably the only brewery in this area and I must say they have lived up to the reputation of serving good craft beers and very interesting dishes.
