Leisure Breakfast @ Muffets & Tuffets
Muffets & Tuffets is a quiet looking cafe located on the road adjacent to Koramangala BDA Complex next to HDFC Bank.
I have heard a bit about their food via fellow foodie friends and decided to visit them on a weekday morning with my Hubby.
The cafe has seating in 3 areas – outside, inside (ground floor) and first floor. The decor is minimalistic with pleasing shades of beige, yellow and white with an added touch of some wood furniture too.
Since it was a working day there was almost no crowd except for another occupied table. Considering this, the service was painstakingly slow with only one person to clean up and serve and another person to take our orders.
Coming to the food, we ordered for a Meat Jagger Breakfast Meal and a Chicken Ham & Cheese Omelette.
For beverages, we tried the Orange Fetish fizz drink and a Cafe Americano.
MEAT JAGGER BREAKFAST
This is a combination of Grilled Salami, Grilled Ham, Sausages, Grilled Tomato, Hash Brown, Egg (made as per your choice) and Toasted bread and butter.
After a bit of a wait, I finally got my food and the grilled Tomato was missing. When I enquired about it, I received it after another 10 mins.
All the food on my plate was cold when served. I had specifically informed that I wanted regular white bread and both our food came with brown bread which we returned.
Inspite of all the above misses, I settled in to enjoy my breakfast and to my utter disappointment the salami and ham tasted old and definitely not grilled. The scrambled eggs, sausages and hash browns were very good.
CHICKEN HAM & CHEESE OMELETTE
My hubby’s omelette seemed to have been a better choice and was cheesy though the amount of ham could have been more.
CAFE AMERICANO
Once again here the service is called into question when you serve a coffee before the meal and then serve the meal almost 15 mins later. By then, your coffee is cold and the whole point of ordering a coffee is lost.
No complaints on the taste front though!
ORANGE FETISH
It was my hubbys day here as even his drink turned out to be better choice. The crushed iced in the drink kept the mildly flavoured orange fizzy drink cold till the meal was done.
Their service and quality of cold meat used could definitely improve.
They also sell freshly baked bread, biscuits, pastries and desserts.
Overall, a good place to visit for breakfast if you do not mind whiling away sometime on a weekend.
