Peri Peri Twist To Desi Dishes – New Menu At Nando’s | Bangalore | India

Nando’s, the acclaimed South African chain of restaurants serving the world-famous flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken, has launched an exciting new range of items across its restaurants in India.

Nando’s is a South African global chain of restaurant serving Afro-Portuguese cuisine and is known world over for its flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken. Nando’s chicken is marinated for 24 hours in PERi-PERi sauce so the flavour goes right to the bone.

The first ever Nando’s restaurant opened in 1987 in Johannesburg, South Africa. This was a venture by two friends, Robert Brozin and Fernando Duarte. Their vision to take the best tasting chicken to the world, was answered through 1200+ Nando’s restaurants across 5 continents and over 20 countries. The Nando’s symbol, the Barcelos Cockerel, remains the most visible expression of Nando’s passionate pursuits.

With over 1200 restaurants worldwide, Nando’s is present in countries like South Africa, Australia, UK, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Botswana, Canada, Fiji, India, Ireland, Malaysia, Mauritius, Namibia, New Zealand, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, UAE, USA, Zambia and Zimbabwe. Currently Nando’s has 9 restaurants in India spread across Delhi, Punjab, and Bangalore with solid expansion plans in near future.

Savour the PERi- PERi goodness with the legendary Chicken & cheese burger. Dig into soulful hearty classics like Saucy Chicken liver with grilled cherry tomatoes & courgettes served on a bed of spicy rice or the mouthwatering chicken and pineapple skewers grilled to perfection and accompanied by toasted pita, yogurt dip and salsa.

Complementing the classic Nando’s style with a dash of Indian tadka, the new range promises to delight customers with a progressive PERi-PERi twist to classic dishes. Indulge in PERi-PERi Chicken Naan topped with sumptuous chicken in a spicy sauce and drizzled with mozzarella. The new must have meals for vegetarians are the Bowl-o-Paneer and PERi Veg Naan.

For those with a sweet tooth, the Grilled Pineapple in Caramel Sauce with Vanilla ice-cream is the latest addition to the new menu but some of the old favourites such as the Creamy Cheesecake, Choco Raspberry Cake and Frozen Yoghurt are some great choices in the menu.

Speaking on the occasion, Shivani Sharma, GM Marketing Nando’s India said, “We’re known world over for our flame-grilled PERi-PERi chicken. Our new menu adds some unique dishes with a desi PERi-twist that we hope will be loved by our loyal customers as well as first timers. Our thoughtfully crafted menu has something for everyone. Fresh ingredients coupled with unique flavours and an array of pocket friendly offerings are the highlights of our new menu.”

To beat the sweltering Indian heat and by popular demand, the much loved Nando’s Designer Drinks make a comeback on the menu. Zesty mocktails such as Citrus Bliss, Rosa Fresca and Madeira Red make the perfect coolers after a scorching day out.

Starting at Rs. 160/- the new menu will be available across all Nando’s outlets in Bangalore.

The delicacies look mouthwatering but I esply liked the plating of tikkas. The restaurant interiors looked okay to me. I hadn’t a clue that Nandos has 120 outlets worldwide. Wonder if there’s one in Mumbai.

what Iam observing is, the restaurants are working really hard on the look and feel & food decoration part. Theme based food serving is the recent trend. Loved the ambiance. The desert part is tempting.

This is such a lovely twist to Indian dishes. I love the taste of peri peri sauce. The tanginess with a dash of chilli makes everything taste so good.
